Touch Learn Infant Massage Course

I cannot begin to say how much I enjoyed this highly professional and comprehensive course from start to finish. I studied long and hard to gain my Body Massage Diploma and wanted to attend a true "post graduate" infant massage course; not just a one day workshop. Touch Learn acknowledge this is a very specialist area requiring highly specific knowledge and run an extremely detailed course, with a good balance between research, theory and practical exercises. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and the course manual by far the best I've received, at any post graduate training I have attended.

I completed the Touch Learn Baby Massage course in January 2005.I felt that the course would provide any prospective massage teacher with the necessary skills to practise competently, either independently or within any organisation. The course is comprehensive and well designed. Within this, full tutor support is provided. The theoretical standards of the course are justifiably high which is then academically accredited. However, the practical component of the course provides a nice balance. There is a recognisable enthusiasm and passion for baby massage which the tutor convey.
As a midwife practitioner I feel confident that I am providing a first class service. It gives me great satisfaction to see mothers and babies interacting as a response to baby massage.

After 25 years as a district nurse I made the brave decision to leave a secure job with reasonable pay and wrench myself from my colleagues whom I had worked alongside for many years.I just knew I wanted to do something else with my life and the my impending 50th year looming up made my decision for me. After a lot of soul searching I decided to go back to college and learn complementary therapies. I chose swedish/therapeutic massage, aromatherapy, massage in schools programme and reflexology I loved the whole experience of going back to college after many years. I met a lovely crowd of girls and I gained self esteem and confidence each time I passed another examination.
One day I was reading a copy of the Today's Therapist magazine and I saw an advertisement for Touch Learn to learn how to train to become a Qualified Baby and Infant Massage Teacher I was very interested in baby massage thinking that if we can instill love and security in our little ones at an early age we could hopefully have a better society with love, joy and happiness. I decided I would apply for one of the Edinburgh based courses right away. Our tutor was Suzie Sherritt a lovely lady who inspired me with her great passion and wisdom about the many benefits and communication there is between mother and child through the world of baby massage.
When I looked into the courses for Infant Massage Teachers I did notice that Touch Learn fitted all the boxes. When I learn anything new I like to analyse it and learn it with great care. In this way I become confident in the subject. I was very quickly impressed with the Touch Learn course. It went into a lot of depth and I was only wishing I had learned this when my children were young. I was amazed to learn such exceptional communication skills with the babies. When I ran my own class I was amazed how many of the babies loved it and were relaxed and contented very quickly.
The icing on the cake for me was the encouragement and help we received to collate an impressive portfolio. We had to find articles on baby massage, do some creative work regarding name cards etc for the babies, and submit all our written work and put these in the portfolio which was a lot of work but very impressive to any reader. We had to finally put in our CV, insurance details and guild of infant massage membership to keep up with our ongoing professionalism. This actually amounts to a sizeable portfolio with a lot of interesting reading. I recently showed mine to a college to apply for a position to teach baby massage to ante-natal mums. The feedback I received was that my portfolio spoke reams about me even before any interview. As a result the college and I are aiming to work together to develop an area for this soon.
I have found a new found confidence in my life at 50 which I am definetely going to develop further. The encouragement from Touch Learn and the impressive course they offer have definetely helped me with my continued professional development and has been invaluable as part of the range of complementary therapies I have learned.

Touch Learn Rhythm Kids Course

Thank you for all your wonderful ideas you passed along in your Rhythm Kids Course! The day was so enjoyable, packed with theory and lots of opportunity for fun, interactive practical work.
The course has had such a positive impact on the services I now can offer to parents - and I have been able to incorporate the Rhythm Kids exercises into my Baby Massage and Baby Yoga Classes from the word go.
Since taking the course, I have had the opportunity to take Rhythm Kids into local nurseries and the babies and carers have just loved the singing and movement sessions - thank you so much!
Lucy Macgregor, May 2007

I attended Rhythm Kids one-day workshop in January 2007 - I now run three classes a week! It has turned out to be the perfect complement to my baby massage & I even use some of the movements and songs in baby massage classes.
Even though there are loads of local music classes out there for babies, parents and babies seem to love the Rhythm Kids format - the combination of music & movement and the length & format of classes is just right & loads of fun!
When I attended the workshop, I didn't quite know where it would lead, but I now have a loyal following of mums - and dads - and, of course, babies who are clearly thriving and having lots of fun in the process! The mums are now insisting I start up the toddler version soon, so that they can keep on coming when their babies get older.
I can't believe I got all of this just from attending a one-day course but the experience of the tutors, the great learning materials & the brilliant, practical run-throughs left me with the confidence to go for it. I'm so glad I did!

Touch Learn Baby Yoga Workshop

The two day Baby Yoga workshop is about right. Very approachable trainers who clearly believe what they teach. I look forward to adding this new technique to my Infant Massage and Rhythm Kids™. Thank you!
Yvonne Edwards, Infant Massage Teacher

I was extremely impressed with the trainers’ knowledge and extended knowledge of Baby Yoga and related subjects. They were very enthusiastic and passionate. I found the practical teaching experience most useful too. Thank you.
