Pauline Carpenter

Pauline Carpenter

Pauline is a co-director of Touch-Learn International Ltd and has been teaching (and writing about) infant and child massage, yoga and Rhythm Kids®, to parents for many years and training parenting practitioners and complementary therapists to teach parents since the beginning of the century. She is also the director of 'Touch-Needs Ltd.', the mail order company that supplies all the necessary resources for Parenting Practitioners to run baby massage, yoga, music and movement and other supportive classes.

Pauline has a nursing background, has a degree in Sociology and is a qualified adult massage therapist. She is currently undertaking an MSc in Psychological Research methods and has undertaken a preliminary study relating to infant massage and the benefits for a child’s language development. Pauline has been involved with the Guild of Infant and Child Massage for several years, having held the posts of Chair, Treasurer and now, Research Co-ordinator. She is soon to take up the role of Treasurer for the Association of Infant Mental Health. Pauline believes that it is important to ensure that all Parenting Practitioners, who teach positive touch programmes, are adequately trained and supported in their work in the UK.
