Touch-Learn Ltd has been teaching health professionals and complementary therapists in positive touch for many years and their principal programme is the highly accredited Infant Massage Teacher Training Programme. Touch-Learn now offer bolt-on courses and workshops to support the continuing professional development of Infant Massage Teachers and enhance the services they offer to parents.
The Baby Yoga Workshop is an excellent 2 day workshop enhancing skills already gained by Infant Massage Teachers with Yoga exercises, stretches and relaxation.

Course Structure
The workshop involves both practical and theoretical study and tutor evaluation of skills learnt.
You will learn about:
- Transition from baby massage to yoga
- Yoga, stretching and relaxation techniques and a yoga routine suitable for babies
- Supporting and empowering parents
- How yoga may enhance child development and parent-infant interaction
- The origins of yoga and some cultural influences
- Early communication and infant behavioural cues in relation to teaching baby yoga
- Anatomy and Physiology related to yoga
- Contra-indications and cautions for yoga
- Professionalism and Health and Safety
Day One
- Introduction to related Anatomy and Physiology
- Infant development; relevant to the application of yoga for babies
- Transition from baby massage to baby yoga
- Tested yoga sequences to prevent and alleviate babies' common ailments (colic, crying, poor sleep) and to promote optimal overall development
- Ways of safely handling babies with ease and confidence using yoga principles
- Teaching practice
Day Two
- Yoga for parent and baby together, integrating suitable postnatal stretches, deep relaxation, use of yoga breathing techniques and creating a joyful interaction
- Guidelines for holding effective and enjoyable classes in Baby Yoga
- Teaching practice
- Plenary session and tutor evaluation
Admission Criteria
To study for the Touch-Learn Baby Yoga Certificate you must be a qualified Infant Massage Teacher.
